Tim Duroux

With a Sport & Exercise Science Degree & Post-Graduate Diploma in Education, Tim has used his expertise in many capacities over the years. He has educated high school students, worked with challenging behaviours of school students as a behaviour teacher, Head of Department and Deputy Principal. Further, he is trained in multiple developmental programs including Aggression Replacement Training, Peer Skills and Rock & Water. He has worked with young people in detention and has coaching certificates in a wide range of sports. Tim is a former state league basketball player and current state team coach.

He is passionate about building strong culture in teams and supporting athletes building a strong mindset to deal with any challenges in sport and in life.

Julia Duroux

Julia is a Senior Experienced Teacher in the area of behaviour. Her passion is to help individuals find their inner strength, develop resilience, and adopt a mindset that promotes growth which assists in reaching potential in sport, school and in life. Julia’s background and training ensures that she knows what it takes to give individuals the edge when it comes to sport.

As a past player in the Women’s National Basketball League, Julia has extensive knowledge when working with athletes as a coach and prides herself on connecting with her players. She has an uncanny ability to build trust quickly with her clients and assess situations quickly.

Julia has worked with many programs over the years supporting students and continues to build their emotional resilience.

Harriet Carey

Harriet Carey brings leadership, versatility, and a high-performance mindset to the GRIT Mindset team. A Bachelor of Sport Management graduate from the University of Windsor, majoring in Leadership, she begins her Master of Education at CQU in 2026. Harriet’s sporting résumé is exceptional: College basketballer and 2024/25 Windsor Lancers Captain, NBL1 North Champion, long‑time Townsville Flames athlete and current Captain, plus Queensland and Townsville junior representative honours. She is also a standout netballer, earning Townsville Premier League WA of the Year twice and QISSN All‑Star 5 selection. With coaching experience across junior and senior levels and a passion for people, coffee, and connection, Harriet brings authenticity, communication strength, and GRIT to every athlete she mentors.

Shaylee Browning

Shaylee Browning brings energy, empathy, and a deep commitment to athlete development to the GRIT Mindset team. A qualified Physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from JCU, she blends clinical expertise with years of high‑level sporting experience. Shaylee has represented Townsville Basketball from U12–U23, competed for Queensland North at state level, and is an NBL1 athlete with the Townsville Flames. She also gives back through coaching, assisting junior representative teams across multiple seasons. Shaylee connects quickly with athletes, creating an environment that is supportive, challenging, and growth‑focused. Away from sport, she loves running, the gym, beach days, and coffee with friends. Her ability to inspire and model GRIT makes her a powerful influence on every group she works with
